In this week’s featured product segment, we’ll be taking a look at one of the smallest large format devices which we offer, the Image Access WideTEK 12. While the WideTEK 12 is one of the smallest scanners in our catalogue, make no mistake – it packs some seriously powerful hardware into a compact, easy-to-use package.
Image Access introduced the WideTEK 12 as an alternative option for scanner operators who like the features of large format devices, but don’t actually need a large format device. The WideTEK 12 is therefore able to accomplish all of the technical feats of a large format device, with significant increases to its overall scanning speed and optical quality. The WideTEK 12 is capable of scanning in black and white, grayscale, or color, and outputs images in jpeg, tiff, pdf and most other standard image formats.
The most unique and exciting feature of the WideTEK 12 is its ability to capture the details of 3D surfaces. Few other scanners on the market currently offer the ability to capture the depth and detail of jagged ridges and surfaces in the same manner that the WideTEK 12 can. Whether working in industrial quality control or surface inspection applications, the 3D depth perception of the WideTEK 12 is an indispensable utility. The WideTEK 12 is capable of scanning the full span of the scanning area in under three seconds in normal mode, and only requires 12 seconds to scan the full bed in 3D mode at 600 dpi.
