Weekly Scanner Update – Spring Cleaning Edition
By Large Documents - April 29, 2016
It’s that time of year where we find ourselves cleaning out old, unwanted to junk and clutter to make room for all of the things which fill up our lives. At Large Document Solutions, we realize just how much space an old large format scanner, plotter or copier can take up. For that reason, we’d like to offer some friendly advice for owners of old large format legacy devices. In a perfect world, we would only need to buy a large format scanner once, and it would last forever – the reality, however, is that the lifespan on virtually any electronic device rarely exceeds 5-7 years, meaning that if you’ve had your device for longer than that stretch of time, it may be time to consider your options for getting rid of it and trading up to a newer and better machine.
If you find that you’ve got an older large format device which you haven’t been using for a couple of years, which is just taking up space in a corner, it won’t hurt to give us a call and see if we’d be interested in taking it off your hands. Many people make the mistake of thinking that their old large format device isn’t worth anything – many legacy devices can still fetch a surprisingly high amount, and if nothing else we’re almost always willing to offer trade-in credit for the right devices. Better to unload your old, neglected large format scanner than to let it collect dust and cobwebs in the corner. If you think your old large format device might be worth something, don’t hesitate to give us a call at (866) 338-4464, or shoot us an email at
