Best Practices in Connecting Large Format Scanners to Power

By Large Documents - March 21, 2016

Attaching computer equipment to a power source in the past was sketching at best.  Today with a constant power supply and better grounding techniques the customer does not have to worry as much today as in years past.  It is however a good practice to connect your large format scanner or printer to a UPS or an effective surge protector.

Image Access and Colortrac scanners come standard with an external power supply.  If there is a surge in power, the external power supply should absorb the power spike.  At worst, the brick will take the spike. All Image Access scanners are equipped with a 100-240 V AC, 47 - 63 Hz external power supply, which complies with ECO standard CEC level V.
