Canon introduces new 24” and 36” plotters

In late January, Canon introduced two new plotters – the 24” imagePROGRAF 670 and the 36” imagePROGRAF 770. These 5-color inkjet plotters have been developed for users who won't be printing in high volumes and want an affordable large format option.

Both the iPF670 and the iPF770 feature Canon's reformulated Magenta ink that offers a wider color gamut in red and orange tones. The printers are well-suited for line drawings, technical documents, presentations, posters and more. Economy print mode and an accounting feature can help users manage costs and track print jobs by users.

A new feature on the iPF670 and iPF770 is the imagePROGRAF Print Utility. Using an iOS-based app, users can print PDF files wirelessly directly from their iPad. Users will need to download and install the app on their iPads.

The iPF770 comes with a stand and document catch basket and the iPF670 comes standard as a desktop printer. An optional stand with document catch basket is available iPF670. Both printers hold one roll of paper and also accept cut sheet paper.

Canon's launch of these models coincides with its disconutining its iPF605 and iPF750. The iPF670 replaces the iPF605 and the iPF770 replaces the iPF750. Though Canon is no longer selling the iPF605 and iPF750, we will continue to offer service and support to users who have these printers. We also carry all consumable items for these models, such as inks, paper and print heads.
